The United States Kerry Blue Terrier Club is recognized by the American Kennel Club as the Parent Club of the Kerry Blue Terrier in the United States. The USKBTC is dedicated to the preservation of the Kerry Blue Terrier for generations to come.
Mission Statement
The objectives of the United States Kerry Blue Terrier Club are:
- to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of pure-bred Kerry Blue Terriers and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection; and to promote ethical breeding practices;
- to encourage the organization of independent local Kerry Blue Terrier Specialty Clubs in those localities where there are sufficient fanciers of the breed to meet the requirements of the American Kennel Club;
- to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Kerry Blue Terriers shall be judged and to educate current and prospective judges to that standard;
- to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows where Kerry Blue Terriers compete; to conduct sanctioned matches, specialty shows, under the rules of the American Kennel Club, as well as educational symposia.
